		<description>As a former student of Vedanta, then Kashmir Shaivism I was shocked by the brutality. Myself and other  western practitioners tend/tended to turn a blind eye to the darker side of &quot;Hinduism.&quot; 
My understanding is that the Nepalese government actually contributed monetary support to this slaughter.
Spiritual materialism is not always as subtle/benign as simple &quot;shopping for buddhas.&quot;</description>
